OCALICON 2019 participants will engage in world-class, research-based, practical-application sessions presented or facilitated by leaders, professionals, individuals, and content experts from across the nation and around the world. Over 250 sessions will be offered over the three days of OCALICON 2019, providing numerous opportunities to discover new ideas while furthering knowledge and understanding.
Sessions address needs across the lifespan from infant/toddler through older adults and across settings including the home, school, workplace, and community. They target a range of challenges and needs including autism spectrum disorder, sensory disabilities, complex and low-incidence disabilities, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, communication disorders, and learning disabilities.
OCALICON offers a variety of session types designed to be engaging, innovative, scholarly, interactive, visual, and applicable to all kinds of learners in all kinds of settings. Sessions are presented in different formats in order to best meet audience interests and learning styles. Participants will leave with actionable strategies and ideas to implement and put into practice in their own home, school, workplace, or community.
