HS Math is just Geometry, correct?
High School math includes Algebra 1 and Geometry, and are used for Ohio State Test.
Should the Intervention Specialist also do testing for the ETR? Like the KeyMath and Woodcock?
These assessments are typically given by the school psych. It depends on the district policy, and the test publishers often have particular qualifications for administering and scoring these assessments.
Will Ohio’s system be able to capture more than one disability category, without checking multiple disabilities, in the future?
This is yet to be decided, Ohio will be working with stakeholders to make final decisions.
Did you say compliant or noncompliant ?
72% of the 202 records reviewed were non compliant with LRE.

What is considered "reasonable time" to receive the PR01 after a meeting?
It needs to be provided to the parents of a child with a disability a reasonable time before the LEA proposes or refuses to initiate or change the identification, evaluation, or educational placement of the child or the provision of FAPE to the child. Going back to the chart regarding Restraints and Seclusions... Can you repeat the percentages that were reported as the number of districts reporting NO restraints and NO seclusions?
During the 2022-2023 school year, there were 12,521 incidents of restraint and 6,936 incidents of seclusion. 66% of Ohio's 3,835 schools reported no incidents of restraint and 93% reported no incidents of seclusion.
Often times districts who have indicator findings are required to review and revise as needed based on the indicator findings. Those happen after December, generally before September. Will updates based on indicators require an additional submission?
We will be moving forward, not back in time, as we move on indicator policy and procedure reviews.
Sarah B talked about a new platform for using and I was wondering if it is screen reader friendly?
This is not a new platform and is one that districts currently use. It is the monitoring system.
What if a HS IS has more than 24 students, but is only in charge of math goals and not the entire IEP (reading, writing, behavior, etc)?
This question is specific to an individual situation and to provide a detailed response, we would need to talk with the providers. Considerations would include workload, student's disability categories, and scheduling questions. To discuss this, please email OECWaiver@Education.ohio.gov.
Will you be re-evaluating the caseload numbers since the incidence rates for autism have rapidly increased?
The Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities goes through a rule revision process. When that process begins, stakeholder input will be gathered and considered. For all disability categories, it is important for the individual student needs to be reflected in the workload for a service provider.
Since this is a stand alone training is there any way it can be posted for everyone that isn't attending the conference and we don't have access to the handouts.

Yes, we will consider how to make some additional modules that are family focused.
Have you thought of any short video.. instead of reading document.. to connect with local community parents and parents who speak a different language?
Yes, this is an excellent idea.
