"To be able to be in the presence of so many incredible special education leaders – it was exciting. The energy here is so incredible."
The Ohio Department of Education's Office for Exceptional Children (OEC) is committed to supporting students with disabilities and to building the capacity of those who lead, teach, and serve these students in Ohio’s schools.
This commitment aligns with OCALI's mission of inspiring change and promoting access to opportunities for people with disabilities. As part of their shared work and continued partnership, OEC and OCALI are pleased to again present the 2019 Special Education Leadership Institute at OCALICON.
Integrated into the broader conference, the Special Education Leadership Institute is designed to provide a platform for special education leaders to collaborate, share research and best practices, and continue to improve the supports and options for students with disabilities. From principals, superintendents, curriculum directors, special education directors, building team leaders, pupil service directors, and teacher leaders – the Special Education Leadership Institute has something to offer everyone.
Through the integration of the Leadership Institute with OCALICON, attendees will have the opportunity to extend their professional learning and networking experiences and will leave the event engaged, inspired, and renewed in their ongoing efforts to better support and serve all people with disabilities.
Access to the Special Education Leadership Institute is included with OCALICON 2019 registration. You must be a registered OCALICON participant to attend.
