Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | 9:30 am - 11:00 am EST

Please join the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Office for Exceptional Children office leadership for critical information regarding special education requirements, resources, policy matters, and processes. State level data will be shared regarding IDEA indicators and state level projects supporting special education. Hear more about the Special Education Model Policies and Procedures, Parent Rights, latest resources, and the newest changes to the IDEA monitoring process.

During this session, participants will:

  1. Learn about updates related to state data, how we use data to inform decisions related to state-level activities, resources, and supports to the field.
  2. Hear about progress made with partner districts in the state systemic improvement plan work and their success stories.
  3. Hear about new resources, timeline for adoption of state model policies and procedures related to IDEA, updated IDEA monitoring, complaint findings, and other state level resources available from our diverse learner team.

Additional details, including event speakers and other DEW-related sessions, can be found on the event's main page.
