"We LOVE the community, professionalism, and genuine nature of the OCALI staff!"
September 2, 2020
A world-class learning experience that inspires change and promotes access to opportunities for people with disabilities—that’s our OCALICON goal and promise. Exhibitors have been integral in achieving that goal for the last 13 years. Our exhibit hall was the hub of connections, meetings, and interactions. It’s where conversations happened face-to-face, where attendees could meet directly with providers and producers, where they could touch, feel, see, and hear the latest innovations and offerings in the industry.
As we have made the transition from our traditional face-to-face event to online, we have realized something as it pertains to exhibitors: It will be difficult to deliver on our goal in an online setting. We've been attending other virtual trade shows and conferences on a regular basis, both in other fields and within our own. We’ve been reading the articles and trying to get our hands on data and evidence to show the value and merit of hosting a virtual trade show. The results have been slim.
In light of that, and as the result of much thought, we have decided not to include the exhibitor portion of OCALICONLINE 2020.
We deeply value our relationships with our exhibitors and look forward to maintaining those relationships over the coming year until we can meet face-to-face next year.
The remainder of OCALICONLINE will continue as planned. And we are excited to offer a best-in-class, high-quality professional learning experience, focused on inspiring change and promoting access. We hope you’ll join us for OCALICON 2021.
