OCALICON 2015 drew over 1,700 (a new record!) educators, intervention specialists, administrators, SLPs, psychologists, policy-makers, parents/family members, self-advocates, special education directors, and many others from 40+ states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. Wednesday keynote Emily Rubin provided research coupled with engaging stories about social-emotional engagement. Thursday keynote Tim Harris showed us what it means to dream big and achieve the dream through perseverance, drive, and a strong support network. Six OCALI Awards were presented to honor the impact, leadership, and accomplishments of individuals from across the U.S. and beyond. More than 150 sessions were provided by 250+ leaders and experts from across the nation. The Research Symposium highlighted the latest research, discoveries, and studies through 50+ poster displays. Over 70 leading exhibitors shared the latest products and services in support of individuals with autism and low-incidence disabilities.
OCALICON 2015 took place November 18-20 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH.
